New feature or improvement:
The screen reader now provides a mappable function to pass a single gesture to the system.
Starting with this version, Corvus will begin displaying a daily notification 10 days before the demo license expires, reminding users of its expiration and the option to purchase a full license.
The object’s technical information (Screen Reader > View Technical Info) now also displays information about the collection and the item within the collection, if relevant.
Tables are now correctly announced in the screen reader in WebView-based browsers, with meta information provided as the user navigates through them.
The list of specific objects for the web now containss commands that allow navigation through table columns and rows.
The screen reader provides 4 mappable commands for navigating tables (next and previous column, and next and previous row).
A table mode has been implemented in the screen reader, allowing users to quickly navigate through tables by swiping up, down, right, and left. There is also mappable command to toggle this mode.
In the screen reader settings, you can now enable or disable the "modern clicking" feature. In some cases, this allows you to control applications with incorrect accessibility implementation.
In addition to a standard click, the list of mappable actions (screen reader) now includes so-called emulated and system clicks. These allow you to emulate the corresponding click regardless of the "Modern Click" setting. See the user manual for details.
The list of mappable screen reader functions now includes the headset button (emulated) function, which allows you to emulate a hands-free button by injecting a key into the AudioManager. This can be used, for example, to emulate answering / rejecting calls in different applications.
In the sporting app, you can now connect a treadmill via the FTMS Bluetooth profile. The treadmill then behaves like a standard measuring device, allowing you to measure your current speed, total distance, and more. Tested with Domyos treadmills.
The sporting app now also tracks positive elevation gain, current and average incline (useful when a treadmill is connected).
The sporting app now allows you to define “favorite” speeds and inclines, which can then be quickly selected by tapping on appropriate items on the screen. Use with treadmills.
A new virtual screen has been added to the sporting app; its content is announced when the speed or incline changes, it can be used with a treadmill.
In the sporting app, you can now create 'activities'—sequences of intervals and segments—with the option to automatically adjust speed and incline on a treadmill, if one is connected.
The music player now also allows you to run in the background (see the context menu during playback).
On the home screen, you can now temporarily hide a notifications item using a gesture. This gesture must be enabled in settings.
On the screen during a phone call, you can now temporarily activate the quick volume adjustment feature by long-pressing the 1-shift key. You must first enable this feature in the phone settings. See the user manual for details.
In the Email app, you can now set in account settings whether a message should also be saved to the Sent folder when you send it. It makes sense to disable this option for providers like Gmail. You can also change the default setting for this option directly in the dialog box when composing a message.
In the Podcasts and RSS app, when searching for a podcast, you must now specify the country in which you’re searching; the default is set based on the app’s language. Specifying the country often makes it possible to find podcasts which should be invisible when is other country defined.
There is a new item in the Help menu, which lets you to access audio tutorials on the Corvus website. See the user manual for details.
A 'List of Changes' option has been added to the Help menu, allowing you to view a detailed list of changes in all versions of Corvus.
